Our Online California Concealed Carry Weapons (CCW) Permit Course is now available to non-residents seeking to obtain a California CCW permit. This fully online training allows individuals across the U.S. to meet Californiaโs 16-hour CCW education requirement from the comfort of home, without the hassle of travel or scheduling conflicts.
The course features in-depth, interactive modules covering firearm safety, legal responsibilities, conflict avoidance, shooting fundamentals, and real-world self-defense strategies. It includes a built-in timer to meet DOJ standards and a final exam to confirm comprehensionโensuring youโre fully prepared to carry legally and responsibly in California.
Important: Your firearms do not need to appear on the California Department of Justice Handgun Roster, as the roster applies only to new dealer sales and not to firearms you already own. However, any handgun you intend to carry must still comply with California law. It may not have a magazine that holds more than ten rounds, and it may not be equipped with a threaded barrel.
Weโre proud to share that our course is currently accepted by the Modoc, Sierra, Plumas, Alpine, Tuolumne, Madera, Fresno, Tulare, Merced, and Kings County Sheriff, with several other agencies pending approval.
If the county youโre applying through does not yet offer an online course, we encourage you to share this program (Non-Resident Requirement Detail) with them for review. Weโre working diligently to expand access and provide an affordable, DOJ-compliant training option for all law-abiding individuals throughout The United States.
