The 4 Safety Rules to Live By:

1. Treat All Firearms as if They Are Loaded: Never assume a firearm is unloaded—always check and double-check before handling.
2. Never Point a Firearm at Anything You Are Not Willing to Destroy: Keep your firearm pointed in a safe direction at all times.
3. Keep Your Finger Off the Trigger Until Ready to Shoot: Maintain discipline by keeping your trigger finger outside the trigger guard until your sights are on target.
4. Be Sure of Your Target and What Is Beyond It: Always identify your target and what lies beyond to prevent unintended harm.

Course Goal:

The goal of this course is to provide exposure to all topics required by the state of California for a CCW permit. However, continuous learning is essential for staying prepared and responsible. Students are encouraged to build upon this training by exploring additional resources through:

Live-Fire Qualification: Proving Your Skills

Upon completing the online course, you will attend a live-fire qualification session.

Here’s How It Works:

Completion Confirmation: Once you finish the lecture portion of the course, an email will be sent to you with clear next steps.

Schedule at Your Convenience: The email will include a link where you can schedule your live-fire qualification session at your convenience at a local range in Fresno/Clovis.

I took the online renewal course and then my live fire qualification with Paco at The Firing Line. Paco gave me excellent shooting instruction that gave me confidence with my ability and my firearm. I will definitely return to 559CCW IN 2 YEARS.

Paco shared some good tips on how to hold my gun for better handling. He was kind and supportive!!! I would highly recommend using his service for renewal. I had to do the online version due to my work schedule but I think I’d go in person next time to take his course.

This course was substantial in giving all the vital information necessary for those seeking to get there CCW, from basic fundamentals to knowing the laws associated with being a permit holder. The online class was easy to navigate through and also easy to understand. I recommend this class for those who have an odd work schedule because you can pause the course work and pick up where you left off, along with scheduling the appropriate time to complete the live fire portion of the course. Hands down the easiest way to get your CCW.

The online course is go at your own pace, the simple watch a video and read a page for 5-10min then answer about 10 questions.
I was easily able to get it done on my own time at work or home using my phone.
30min here, 3hrs there, a few days off… ect…

I actually learned a lot and am glad I chose Paco to be my instructor!

The live fire test was easy too, if you've gone to the range before you will pass with no problem! It only took about 15 minutes, I was in and out!

I highly suggest this course!
