Kings County CCW Online Course | 559CCW
Choose Kings County CCW online classroom training with 559CCW: $125 for initial training or $95 for renewal training. Complete the lessons online, then attend your in-person live-fire qualification.
Your instructor is Francisco “Paco” Villarreal, a California DOJ-certified CCW instructor and U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Local qualification takes place at Fresno Rifle & Pistol Club in the Clovis area. Your course-completion email explains how to book. You have 90 days to complete the course.
How the Online CCW Course Works
- Enroll in the initial or renewal course that matches your permit stage.
- Complete the online classroom lessons, quizzes and final exam at your own pace.
- Follow your completion email to schedule in-person live-fire qualification with 559CCW.
- Receive your certificate after completing the course and qualification, then follow your issuing agency’s instructions for submitting training documents.
Kings County Sheriff’s Department Permit Requirements
For applications through the Kings County Sheriff’s Office, use its official concealed weapon permit page to confirm current application instructions, accepted training, documents and fees. Your issuing agency handles the permit decision; completing a course does not itself issue or renew a permit.

- Application & Fees: Agency fees are separate from training. Check the Kings County Sheriff’s current permit information for application, renewal and modification charges.
- Training Hours: For a new standard permit you must complete 16 hours of training. For renewals, the requirement is 8 hours.
- Firearm Listing: You may list up to 6 handguns on your permit. Each listed firearm must be registered to you, and you must qualify with each.
